We Came, We Saw, We Painted 2015 Call to Artists (Art Bar!)

CALL TO ARTISTS!

This is a Field to Finish show meaning you must complete a studio painting done using a field study as a reference and both pieces will be hung together!

When? Opening Reception Friday July 10th 6:30-7:30

            Work Hangs  June 19th- July 30th

Where? The Art*Bar 722 E Burleigh 

Awards? 1st, 2nd and 3rd place 

Entry Cost? None, Nada, Zip

Sales Split? 70% Artist/20%Art*Bar/10%AWE 

ENTRY DEADLINE: Friday May 22nd

Size limit: 320 Square inches (length x width) and a 4"frame

Submit 2 images (1 plein air and 1 studio done from that plein air painting) for consideration. We will be accepting 30 artists for this show!

Acceptance announcements will be sent the Friday May 29th

Pick up of unsold work is after July 31st

Our thanks to our Judge Shelby Keefe for choosing this years winners. The artists were tasked to take a plein air study and paint a studio piece from it. Our Juror was able to award either the study, the studio piece or both. Of Interest: Shelby awarded all plein air studies only sighting "freshness and first response" as her reason. This show is hanging at the Art*Bar in Riverwest (722 E Burleigh, Milwaukee) until June 23rd. A portion of the sales go to AWE (http://www.awe-inc.org/) to fund the trucks helping kids to have availability to art in areas all around Milwaukee! Come and take in some art...have a drink and help some kids!!!

Music, Drinks, Art and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of some great Milwaukee area kids!!! The Wisconsin Plein Air Painters Association has teamed up with the Art*Bar and A.W.E. for a  great time!! Awards Ceremony starts at 8:30!

10% of all sales go to A.W.E. (Artists Working in Education).

Work may be viewed/purchased from July 20th till August 23rd

10% of the sales proceeds goes to Artists Working in Education so come and help us fill those art vans full of art supplies for kids who might not ever get the chance to do art!!
