PEWAUKEE, WI (August 21, 2015) The Pewaukee Area Arts Council is pleased to announce the winners of the 2015 Waterfront Art Fair during the 11th Annual Antique & Classic Boat Show at Lakefront Park on Saturday, August 15. Over $500 in cash prizes were awarded to plein air (open air) painters who had from 7am to 2pm to finish their paintings. There were 25 artists competing for the prize money on a 90 degree sunny day at the lakefront. Artists were to submit their paintings by 2:00 p.m. and were then judged by artist and master teacher Michalene (Molly) Groshek of Merton. Many paintings were sold on site to an admiring audience, while others went on display for sale through mid September in the art gallery located inside Chiropractic and Wellness of Pewaukee Lake on Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Pewaukee.

1st Place ($250) Michelle Savas Thompson of Jackson with her painting entitled "Boat Show Day"
2nd Place ($100) Fred Bell of Milwaukee "Sea Duo"
3rd Place ($50) Barbara Hayden of Oconomowoc "Feeling Mellow"
First Timer Award (novice artist $50) Tayte Matthews of Dousman "The Harbor"
Honorable Mentions ($25 each)
