The Bay View Arts Guild invites the local community – professional artists and folks just interested in getting creative – OUTSIDE THE STUDIO: Art in the Park with BVAG. We will be creating art ‘plein air’ (outdoors). South Shore Park Farmer’s Market 2900 S. Shore Dr. Bay View, WI 53207 August 20th and 27th / 9am till Noon. http://southshorefarmersmarket.com/ Bring your own paints, easels, notebooks, sketch pads, watercolors, pastels, cameras or crayons and get artistic! Serious artists of all ages and abilities are welcome. We have the option of exhibiting the finished work on the 2nd week ~ or creating more art. This is not an art sale. Please check in and get your name tag by 9am at the white BVAG tent before you begin. The farmers market ( is an ideal location: teaming with vendors, produce, flowers, dogs and neighbors for subject matter. And of course the park itself, the pavilion, beautiful Lake Michigan, sailboats, birds and a marina are right there too. Meet back at the tent with your completed (or in progress) work to share at the end of the session. You may continue to create the second Saturday or feel free to bring your finished work to exhibit. Arts Guild members will provide a ‘friendly’ art critique if you like. It will be a great opportunity to share our talents, compare notes as artists, and encourage creativity and the arts in the greater community. This is NOT a contest. There will be no jury, no fees, and no registration. Just arrive at the park, find the BVAG tent and sign in. Then enjoy creating OUTSIDE THE STUDIO.
